Library Accessibility

The Seminole Community Library is committed to making its facilities, programs, and services accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. The following is a listing of accommodations that are available to help people utilize the library.

Handheld Magnification Devices

We offer hand-held magnification devices. Helpful for reading print materials. They are available to borrow from either service desk.

Electronic Magnifiers

Both floors have a LifeStyle HD electronic magnifier which enlarges books, magazines, and other print material.

Mobility Devices

Wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices are provided for use in the library.

Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

The Deaf Literacy Center (DLC) is a countywide library-based literacy program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. This program is a service of the Pinellas Public Library Cooperative and serves all of Pinellas County by providing coordinated administrative services for member libraries.

Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired

The Pinellas Talking Book Library is a free service to residents of all ages who are unable to read standard print material due to visual, physical, or learning disabilities, whether permanent or temporary. The Pinellas Talking Book Library provides recorded audio, Braille and large print books and magazines, as well as a collection of descriptive videos to residents of Pinellas and Sarasota counties.
